Squirts 10U
Squirts Travel Team is a competitive program designed for players seeking a higher level of play. Teams compete against other organizations, often traveling to games and tournaments, while focusing on skill development, teamwork, and game strategy in a structured environment.
Ages
Appropriate players at least 9 years old who have completed at least one year of Learn-to-Play.
When
Season begins late October and runs until league playoffs in early March.
Where
Practices and home games are held at the Boys & Girls Club of the Berkshires. Games may be played within 2 hours of the club; usually CT, NY, MA & VT.
Practices
Practices are 2-3 times per week for 50 mins.
Games
Teams will play 20-30 games over the course of the season and will usually fall on the weekends. Home games are Saturday's at 9:30 a.m. and Sunday's are away. Team managers may schedule double headers.
Jerseys
Home and away travel jersey and socks are required to be purchased thru Arrow Sports by the deadline. Details to follow.
2026-2027
The Berkshire Bruins Squirt program is designed for 10U players continuing to develop foundational hockey skills in a fun, team-focused, and increasingly competitive environment. The Bruins compete as part of the Northern New York State Youth Hockey League (NNSYHL), with an emphasis on skill development, teamwork, game awareness, and sportsmanship.
Players should be comfortable skating independently, including stopping and turning, and participating in game situations.
