Mites 8U
focus is on skating and individual puck skills, with players developing fundamental abilities and a love for the game through age-appropriate training and cross-ice games. Registration will open in September 2026.

Ages 8 and under.

Season begins late October and runs thru end of February.
Where
Practices and home games are held at the Boys & Girls Club of the Berkshires. Games may be played within 1 hour of the club; usually CT, NY, MA & VT.
Practices/Games
Practices Wednesday and Friday @ 6 p.m. Saturday practice/game at 8 a.m.
Games
How many games will they play? What days of the week?
Example: Teams will play 20-30 games over the course of the season and will usually fall on the weekends.
Jerseys
Are jerseys provided or are they purchased separately?
Example: Club jerseys are required and may be purchased at TJ Sporting Goods.
2026-27
The Berkshire Bruins Mite program is designed for 8U players building foundational hockey skills in a fun, supportive, and team-focused environment. The program emphasizes skating, puck skills, teamwork, confidence, and sportsmanship through age-appropriate practices and game play.
Players should be able to skate independently and be ready to continue developing basic stopping, turning, and puck-handling skills.
